Leaving Mundania At Literary Death Match Boston

It’s a little like Highlander — there can be only one! Tomorrow I’m competing in Literary Death Match, the storied reading series/happening in which four writers enter, but only one may leave.

In honor of the literary throwdown, Chicago Review Press has released Leaving Mundania via Net Galley for all you reviewers and libriarians.

The Death Match is both literary, and wild card, with pairs of readers competing to enter the final mystery challenge, which could be anything from laser tag to a spelling bee.

You can bet I’m bringing my elf ears and a dogeared copy of the Leaving Mundania. Do say you’ll cheer me on, Bostonians!

Here are the details:

You can read more about Literary Death Match in general, and this Death Match in particular, on the Death Match site.

Novelist Tom Perrotta (author of Election and more!), comedian Joe Piccirillo, and chanteuse  Niki Luparelli will judge.

I’m up against stiff competition, including children’s book genius Bob Shea, the 2010 Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer’s Award winner Alexandria Marzano-Lesnevich and fictionist Ken Calhoun.

Hosted by LDM creator Todd Zuniga and LDM Boston Executive Producer Kirsten Sims.
